Each year, Irvine Community Drug Prevention (ICDP) and the partners of the Irvine Prevention Coalition host the Outstanding Supporter of Prevention (OSP) Awards. The OSP Awards honor individuals in our community who strive to make a difference in the lives of children and families.
To identify these community leaders, ICDP sends out a request for nominations in the spring. Everyone in our community is invited to nominate an Outstanding Supporter of Prevention. Nominees should be individuals who work tirelessly to support children, youth, and families in meaningful ways in order to prevent alcohol, tobacco and other drug use and/or violence in our community.
NOTE: An individual may only receive an OSP Award once in his/her lifetime. A complete list of past OSP Awardees is featured on our website. Nominations are accepted annually in the spring. Nominations are accepted in each of the following categories:
The OSP awards are presented at a special ceremony at Irvine City Hall at the end of May or early June each year. If the person you nominate is selected as an award recipient you will be asked to participate in the ceremony.
